Printable Gift Box Pdf - Day 70

Making paper gift boxes
Here is an idea if you are planning to give several people the same small gift.

I love to give out small little gifts and designed this gift box a few years ago.

The box itself is easy to make from a single sheet of card stock and the wrapping paper is just printer paper with the word Enjoy printed on in script.

A little bit of gold curling ribbon and a very simple card made from white printer paper finishes off the elegant presentation.

These are quick and easy to make and I now always keep a few on hand that I can use at the last minute. I have a printable pdf of both the box and the wrapping paper.

Thanksgiving placecardCanadian Thanksgiving is this weekend and I have designed this cute little Thanksgiving Place card for the table.

The nice thing about having Thanksgiving so much earlier than American Thanksgiving is often the weather is still beautiful and we get to enjoy the amazing color of the autumn leaves.

The image on this place-card is from a cookbook from the 19th century.

Vintage flag printHere is a vintage print showing the different flags of America for you to print.

This is a wonderful bright print that you can incorporate in your 4th of July decorations.

It would look lovely framed with small flags on either side.

You could place this print on your buffet table for added color.

So how old is this print?

Well if you count the number of stars on the Stars and Stripes you should be able to figure it out.

The other flags in the print included the Yacht Ensign, Naval Dispatch Revenue Pennant, United States Mail and Admiral's Flag.

Crowns printableDad is King of the castle and here is a printable just for him.

Great to use on Father's Day either to wrap up his gift, make a card from or cut out one of the crowns and place it on a photo of him.

This vintage print shows the crowns of the British Monarchs from William the Conqueror to the Imperial state crown which is now in the Tower of London.

There are 15 crowns on this print and many of them are now lost.  The images where taken from portraits of the various monarchs.

The only crown worn by a woman is number 7 which graced the head of Queen Elizabeth 1.

They show chickens that were highly valued at the beginning of the 20th century when even city dwellers might have a few chickens in their backyard so they could enjoy fresh eggs.

These illustrations are beautifully made and would look wonderful separately on stationery, letter head, gift wrap or in other paper crafts.

You could also use the images decoratively on your Easter table.

To celebrate the 2012 Westminster Dog show I wanted to share these vintage dog prints.

They are from about 1910-1920 and it is very interesting  the way the breeds have changed over the years. Who would have thought that there were dog grooming styles that go in and out of fashion.

These prints would look great matted and framed in any dog lovers home.

There are three prints showing a variety of familiar dogs such as Fox Terriers, Poodles, Beagles and Irish Setters.

These images could also be used in craft projects, to make cards or (as suggest by Karen, one of my readers) it would make fantastic wrapping paper for fellow dog lovers. (More Style Than Cash will not appear on your printable.)

This years winner of the 136th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show was a 4 year old Pekingese named Malachy.
