Is there any other fruit that has so many saying regarding it?
She's a Georgia peach, pretty as a peach, peaches and cream complexion.
While peaches are delicious their skin can cut tender mouths and for very young children it is best to peel them.
Peeling peaches is actually quite easy if you know the trick.
When I was pregnant with my son my only craving was for peaches and my
husband would bring home baskets of peaches for me that would be gone
in two days. It's no surprise to me that my son's favourite fruit is
the peach, it's in his blood.
While I am happy just to munch away on
peaches when my daughter was very young she told me that the skin hurts
her mouth and I remembered as a child the skin of a peach would
actually cut the corners of my mouth. So no one in the family would
miss the glory of peaches I will cut and peel them and place them in a
bowl to eat at breakfast.

I have found that the easiest way to peel a
ripe peach is to take a small knife and cut into it all the way to the
pit and cut around it 'til you return to where you started. Twist the two halves apart. One half will have the peach pit in it.
At this point but I make two more cuts on each half so I
have 6 segments. The three slices on the half attached to the pit I gently pull away.
Using the blade
of the knife I start at the top of the peach segment and slowly pull the skin
off the peach. If the peach is ripe this is very easy to do.
Like
everything else in life it takes a little practice to be perfect.
And
what do my family think of this fresh fruit for breakfast? They think
it's peachy keen.
