Paint chip boxesPaint chip boxes are easy to make from those delightfully colorful paint chips we all seem to accumulate around our homes as we dream of redecorating.

These small little boxes are perfect for party favors or to place on top of plates with a small gift inside at dinner parties.

You could make a bunch to sort your colorful beads or other crafts that you have. The would look stunning in your craft space.

Easy to make you will become addicted to them.
Supplies for making paint chip boxes
For each container you need to cut

2    2-1/4 inch discs from cereal cardboard
4    2-1/4  inch discs from white card stock
2    5/16th x 8 1/2 inches strips from card stock
Cut a 8-1/2 long paint chip 1-1/4 inches wide

With a craft stick glue the white card stock discs to either side of the cereal card disc so it is covered on both sides.

Place a penny on your work surface. With a glue stick, glue around the edge of the disc and place on top of the penny. Wrap the 5/16 inch strip around the edge of the disc and glue the ends.If the disc are not completely glued on the edges you might have to run a very thin band of white glue on the inside edge of the lid to make it sturdy.

Repeat with the second cereal card disc. These lids will be identical but one will be the top and the other the bottom.

Let these dry completely before you continue.

Curl the paint strip so it will fit easily into the bottom lid.

Making paint chip boxes 4
Glue the inside lip of the bottom lid and place the paint chip inside gluing the strip onto itself.
