Nylons can be one of those frustrating items of women's apparel because to look really pulled together in a skirt or dress you really need to wear a pair. But that pair of nylons might only last one wearing if they get caught on something that makes them run.
There is a way to genuinely make your nylons last longer but you have to do it and not just think about it.
You have to put them in the freezer for a day, about 24 hours. Why this works I have no idea but I started doing this with the grocery store nylons I now buy and they have made them almost indestructible.
I use to be the type of woman that would have a run in her nylons almost before she left the house so I am so pleased with this.
If you are constantly getting runs in your nylons in the same place check to see if there is something in your daily routine that is snagging them. There might be a rough spot at a desk or chair that you sit at. You might have a bad habit of rubbing your legs against the legs of a chair and snagging them or you might be too rough on them as you pull them on.
As soon as you bring home your nylons pop them in the freezer and make a note to yourself to take them out the next day. You really don't want to be in a rush and have to put on freezing cold nylons.
